Sorry all the dumb questions I'm just trying to get this straight...

If I order the VCM Suite for 2 vehicle types, lets say my 03 GMC and a Grand Am GT, I would get 1 cable and 1 CD, and these would work for both cars? Or would it be one cable and 2 CD's?

It will be a cold day in hell before I give this company another dime of my money. I spent $4200 on what 5 months later would have cost me $1300. Hardly a video card comparison. Magnus, I really think your company should really reconsider some compensation for some of us. Hell, I could have every V8 car they support for less than I've spent instead of the 6 cars I have.

Default What to do?????? Choices Choices

Wow...I must say I am impressed with the new pricing . I can actually trade in my copy of Carputing LSEdit. Christmas in November.

I have been waiting for months to upgrade to EFI Live Flashscan and now they tell me it will still be longer to wait.

So based on HP's new pricing structure...I not going to wait any longer...I'm going with HP.

Here's my question. I have both Edit 1.4 and EFILive Pro V6.

The question I have for you pros who have used both the scanner in HP and EFIlive is if I should trade in just LSEdit or both?

To be honest, I've not did too much with EFI Live and/or Edit because I have been afraid of frying my PCM with Edit again. Why? Because the last tuner did actually 'fry' my PCM and he ended up having to send my PCM to Carputing to be reconfigured. Since that fiasco I haven't done a thing with Edit and have been waiting for the upgrade to EFILive to be ready.

But since HP Tuners has such a good deal and is so much safer flashing than Edit I really want to dive in and learn this stuff. To heck with waiting on EFIlive.

What would you do? Trade in just Edit and/or both Edit and EFILive.

Just pretend they didnt drop the price, you were fine with what you spent before the price change and now you feel wronged because they lowered the prices.

If you buy a car then they give a $5000 rebate the next month, they dont compensate you the difference

Let me guess, you haven't sent them $4200, have you.

And no, I'm not expecting the same deal they are offering now, but to the people that spent that kind of money, especially more than their highest priced product now, they could throw us some kind of bone.

I agree, they could at least cut thier current customers some kind of deal, hell I bought the program last week, and now if I want to upgrade to 2 cars, the same deal they're giving everyone else. I have to spend 200.00 more dollars, that sux. 50.00 or even free would be a good deal to those that have bought in the last 6 months, or to those that got the 1.5 update.

In the marketing world this pricing change is called a 'monosynaptic reflex' also known as 'patellar reflex'

LS1 Edit costs a lot more. I spent a lot too for my HP Tuners, but I am very happy with it.

How much $$$ did you make using it in the past 5 months. My guess is that you didn't buy it to just help buddies out.

A break for some customers would be nice but be realistic. I was a tad upset after I got my 2001 SS, 2 months later GM had better financing and a $1,000 rebate.

If you always wait for the better deal, you'll be waiting for a very long time as technology and prices always change.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

(Iin other words, since when has LS1Tech.com become a free advertising space for HPT?)

Looks an aweful lot like their post on their site:
http://www.hptuners.com/forum/YaBB.p...num=1100496324

Seems also strange that once EFIlive announced pricing therre was a scramble to make some "adjustments" there at HPT. I guess a whole new set of efficient features were added that allowed such a change in pricing, eh:

Oh well....

Since they are a sponsor, maybe?

I bet when most of you guys buy something at the store and then see it on sale the next week, you go demand something for free? Get over it already. Ive bought alot of stuff from sponsors and then it was on sale the next week.

What if you he have Autotap & Edit, can you trade them both in and combine the trade in discounts?

That is the next best question as I see no combo credit for these 2
