Open Loop uses no fuel trim learn, long or short.
Closed Loop uses short term fuel trims which adjust the long term fuel trims.
Disabling the long term fuel trim will prevent your short term fuel trims from updating a greater bias (the long term fuel trim)..
STFT's will still work and you will still have fuel trim learn.
To disable closed loop, set your closed loop enable temps to 255.
