HP Tuners.. Worth it for a 98?
teetering between upgrading my ls1-edit to either tuners or flashscan.
either HP Tuners the company, or owners of the software with 98's, let me know why / if I should go with Tuners over Flashscan. Because at this point it seems like I should base my decision on the datalogging portion of the software more than the programming (since the 98 computer seems to be so limited) and if I do that then EFI-Live gets my $$$.
Thanks in advance!
The Flashscan program for the 98's seems to be free flashing, but who knows how their support will be.

Seeing as the don't seem to have all of the data needed for for 98 os's I am holding off purchasing flashscan to try it out.
While I have commented about some of the 98 stuff missing on hp, However they have done a good job making a large amount of it available, expecially due to the limited audience.

In fact the only example i can think of that we missed something for the 98's was burst knock and version 1.6.0 adds that.
At current count the 98's have over 400 parameters to edit and if i was to recount the some of the trans tables like some of our competitors (ie. row by row) that would make it well over 500.
The bottom line is this: 98's *are* different and do require a lot of special treatment, the flashing process is different, the recovery process is different, the information stored in the PCM is different, hell sometimes even GM got it wrong on 98's.
As has been touted by many people before us "You don't get something for nothing".
