Quick Question about 160 t stat i have a crap hypertech and i have a question about 160 t stat any one have any problems with a ses light with the 160 and a tech. question if the car is running a 160 isn't it still in open loop so if you put a 160 in will it stay in open loop or will the programmer change the setting

the 160* won't cause a ses light on a stock pcm. Unless its broke/stuck open ect. The pcm is usually in closed loop long before 160* I've seen mine switch to closed around 115*
although for some reason the v6's throw a code with 160 thermos. 
also with a 160 stat, your ECT won't actually be 160... The stat just opens up at 160. Your ECTs (w/ fans readjusted) will be in the 170s or 180s depending on what weather you're in
