Well the com port is working, It looks like the serial cable is bad.

I am having connection problems also. I have connected to the scanner part but can't connect to anything else.

What is the problem here??

Is the scanner off when you try the VCM editor?

It should be off, but another user on HPTUNERS said his only works when it is on. Weird.

Im having the same problem. It keep saying cable not found. I have the RS232 PCM card with 2 ports and both are installed correctly. Cig fuse is fine. Im at a bit of a loss.
