HP Tuners is the most versatile IMO right now, great user functionality, but none of these softwares are "newbie-friendly" really. Start learning about tuning before you invest $$$ in software, that way you know how deep you really want to get into it. READ READ READ, then ASK ASK ASK

yah i had a tune in my car, bought the software about a month before i was to take the tune out of the car, so i read up on how and what to tune and i knew what issues the car had with the tune at the time so i kinda knew what to change...combined with my knowledge of cars i kinda figured it out...the day came to pull the tune and within 30 mins i had it driving better then it ever had with the "pro" tune it had previously installed. I use hptuners and probably will for a good long while...their pricing is at the top of its class, licensing setup is pretty good, functionality is great, help files are well um helpful 30 second flashes make changing stuff less of a chore.

yes but will it be able to tune LT1's? I think EFILive only supports '97-'02 LSx's.

For LS1s READ THE STICKY

For LT1s Seems lots have had luck with TunerCat... the way I look at it... anything's better than carpuking...
