Trans Line Pressure Logging - Electric Sender?
me think I need to be logging real line pressure to
see whether my problem lies with the clutch or its
hydraulics. I know there are gauges you can hook
up (somewhere) but, what I would really like is to
fit up an electric sender and feed that to one of my
HPTuners EIO A/D inputs for real time pressure logging
against load & road.
Don't know if a straight engine oil pressure sender would
be sensible here, seems like 4X engine oil pressure might
be seen. Does anyone know of a good 300PSI pressure,
hot oil capable sender that has a known pressure/voltage,
pressure/resistance (whatever) curve I could use for
logged data transform back to trans line PSI?
Posted here for the tuners; I've hit up the A4 section
already as well.
4-20 mA is really unusual for car applications, but the 0-10 V senders should work.
I buy my stuff here: http://www.endress.com/
Also here
http://www.continentalimports.com/vdo_send.html
they have many senders but I don't know the output (voltage, resistance...)
