It means something, best piece of advise is go to autozone and have it scanned for free. Come back and post what code you have, then we can help.

I had that code.and then P1415. It is the gulp (check) valve on the AIR. Follow the AIR pipe up from the exhaust manifold. Where the steel pipe turns into a rubber hose thats it. That big round valve. 1415 and 1416 just means left and right. Trust me if one went out just change both. There are about $12 each. Easy job, about 15 min. I saved my old ones, they were stuck shut (blockage). Put them on the work bench and put oil in them. Checked them about a week later and they work again! I keep them for spares. You can blow thru them. Should pass air one way only. Just a quick easy check. Good luck

Friend of mine just threw P1416 - replaced the passenger side air check valve, his was full of carbon too. GM PN is 12565503 (same for either side). If you don't want to reset the PCM to clear the light after you install the new one it'll go off by itself after 3 or 4 cold starts.

yep, secondary check valve. its a pain in the *** to get to as well. if u dont want to buy a new one, let it soak in oil overnight and viola works perfect.
