Default Dyno tune vs. handheld?

i want to get a cam pretty soon.. so im gonna need a tune for sure but i don't really know that much about tuning and such.....which one would be better. iv'e got most of the bolt ons....are there any good dyno tuners in the richmond va area.... any ballpark estimate price? i know its alot but i'm in the dark on this one. please help

A hand held will not get you the quality of tuning you want, Pay a tuner in your area to tune it with dedicated soft ware like ls1 edit or hp tuners on a dyno, for WOT tuning is best done that way. It is usually i the interval of $400-$600 depending on the shop, a good shop will have a free retune policy plus the cost of dynotime, costing you about 100-150 dollars for a retune using 3-4 pulls.
