Default HPP3 Question

What should i set the rev limiter at for each shift(gear)....my 1-2 is set at 6600 or so.....should i do less then that.....how about the 2-3 and 3-4...whats should they all be set at??? THANKS FOR ANY INFO

seeing as how your pretty much stock there is no need to spin passed 6k. all your doing is just asking for valve float.

if you don't have upgraded springs, lower it immediately...

When I was first getting into these cars... I didn't realize that the stock drivetrain wasn't designed for high RPM...

Car started running strong, but got slower and slower as my springs got tired... my dyno graph eventually looked like a 1st grader drew it from the valve float

on a stock car highest you'd want to shift is 6000 or 6100 ... no benefit past that and greater chance of damage

Just what those guys said. When you read about missed shifts (m6) and bent push rods that's what did it. The springs can't take that rpm and the valves float and hit a piston and there you have it. Just what jrp said, there is no more power above 6k anyway. (stock cam of course)
