Default my upgrades...LSX

Ok, the car is an 01 trans am ws6 6speed

the ls6 intake is already on it and i have the 28.8 stock injectors.

plans: lsx intake manifold (90mm) FAST throttle body (90mm) and we are going to upgrade the fuel injectors to 30lb/hr. we are going to get all the seals needed and o-rings for the injectors. We already have Kooks headers and y-pipe along with SLP airlid and bellow

do we or will we need to program the car with some tune to get it to run okay???

basically i know that the tune the car has adjusts the fuel and air according to the readings from the O2 sensors and that it would (*maybe) see that it could dump more fuel if needed (increase duty cycle) on the 30lb/hr injectors

IMO, and as the owner of a LSX intake and 90mm TB. IF you are not running a really large cam, and are not reving over 7000RPM, do not waste your money on that product. I have one and it made ZERO difference in a dyno back to back comparison between the LS6 and LSX intakes and TB's.

Save your money

we are going to be cam swapping along with springs, retainers, pushrods

so in the long run i think it will make a difference, but thanks for input.

damn man..nice numbers..gotta love ATI. I would love to have your setup, lol thats just kickass.

I just wanna keep it a daily driver though

Ok, still doesn't answer the question though. Will we need to program the car after simply bolting on the LSX intake and 90mm TB along with 30lb/hr injectors?

that was an expensive little gain, but i would like to add that was on a complete humid, muggy, rainy day. I would at least expect close to 20HP and TQ added on a good day. There has to be a difference between the lsx and the ls6.....i noticed it on a shitty day...was something not done right on others cars and they didn't see gains because of it. All i had was a simple hypertech tune and i still ended up going rich on above 3800rpm because of the simulation of the cat converter protection parameter

stock everything except for whats in my sig...haven't dug into the internals yet. We want to do something similar to the 2003 Z06 corvette cam but with some modified numbers..like a 228 intake 232 exhaust to take advantage of the dual valve springs and then pushrods, and 114+4 separation and around a .540-.560 lift

hahahha
