Default P0103,2wks,1wk,every second

This started as sooon as I put the MAF Frequency back to normal after tuning with HPtuners. Now I've searched and found out this is a problem on 98' models, maybe an O2 sensor, fuse ECT...... I've checked all that and I still get it as soon as I go WOT. I clear the code and 5 minutes later it comes back. It started as a 2 week thing, then it showed up once a week, now it won't go away I'm not using a K&N filter and i've cleaned the MAF. What else can I check?

Update.......... I set my frenquency up to 32767 and all is fine now. I believe my MAF frequency was set as a 2001 MAF frequency of 14477. So I looked up a stock 99' MAF frequency and put 32767. I'll update in a week to see if all is well.

Are you raising your MAF Fail Frequency? If so, you may hide the problem without eliminating it. On stock '99 M6 Cars, the MAF Fail Frequency is set to 28672 Hz, which is somewhat strange. If that value is correct and are seeing P0103 then the PCM has decided that the MAF frequency is too high. This could be caused by a defective MAF Sensor, defective MAF wiring or connections, or a PCM problem. Other years have the MAF Fail frequency set to 13500 which is a more reasonable value. There might be some glitch in the '99 PCM. I hope I haven't caused more confusion.

there is a bug in our definition file for the MAF fail freq in a few early 99 OS's and all 98 OS's. The fix is coming early next week.

Workaround for now is to set the value to 2.048 times the fail freq you actually want.

eg. if you want a fail freq of 12000 set the number to 24576.

That makes sense. So when I had it set at 14477, that means I had my frequency set at 7068.84 I'll set it at 28672 so that my frequency can see a 14000 set frequency. Is that the normal frequency required. I was wondering why 2001 and up were so low and 98-99 were so high. Thanks!!
