Default TPS problem.

Just did a log and HORIST (as usual) noticed that my TPS was only opening 70%. Well I found out I had a vacuum line stopping it from opening it. No problem just moved it. I then with the engine off scanned and mashed the throttle. It opened to 100%...cool. But when I started the car and drove it only went up to 80%. Stopped the car and just turned the ignition to the ON position mashed it again and went back to 100%. Anyone know whats up with that??

Have you raised the Idle set screw on the throttle body? Any TPS codes?

You retard. I'll give you a red stapler alright. Anyway guys had cut some floor mats and crap also. I didn't think it was touching or didnt affect it but I guess it did.

So what was the end-state? I've got the same problem - only 80 to 85% TPS at WOT as per my HPTuners log file (which I can upload)...

How'd you fix it?

ok, I went out and checked the physical travel of the throttle and it's only opening about 85%. This would explain a whole lot...

Is there any way to adjust this? It's about 15 to 20% of the way from hitting the bump-stop on the throttle-body itself so I think grinding that would be somewhat useless at this point.

How do you adjust the throttle cable?

Certainly wouldn't be the first time a floor mat kept the pedal from hitting the metal.
