LS6 cam and bore 30 over throw SES???
Im getting my engine rebuilt and we are using the LS6 cam and boring 30 over, three way valve job- just wondering if I should expect the SES light to be thrown by any of this (mainly the new cam) or should it be fine. If it does throw any codes because the LS6 might lope a little harder is that something that can be taken care of with the LS1 edit? appreciate any input- by the way this is 99 LS1 engine w/ speed

If they are telling you thay are gonna bore it .030 take your block and run.
This means they either know MORE then everyone else who has ever touched the LS1 or WAY LESS.
I would bet on the way less.
You can do a 3.905 bore and stock is 3.898 so you do the math.

as far as the LS6 cam, anybody ever see anything to be concerned about when making the swap from the stock LS1 cam - code wise? I broke a pushrod and bent another so we are replacing those and probably upgrading the valve springs, retaining clip while we're in it. Im not the brains behind the operation, just in charge of the "funding department" and I just like to be a step ahead of any problems we might come across!
