How do you disable Onstar on an 05 Crew Cab Silverado.

If you are using HP Tuners, we do not require you to disable any module on board any of the vehicles we support.
Every vehicle we list on our orders page can be done in-vehicle without problem.

Yeah, I think you're supposed to temporarily diable it, might depend on what you're using - my Predator manual has instructions on how to do it - something about the system sending transmissions periodically to the vehice...if it gets one in the middle of a tune install or backup...you'll have to start over again. It's a 4 step procedure and involves removing some fuses...not sure it it's exactly the same for you. Guess it's not absolutely necessary, just makes you start over.
