throwing a code...please help

throwing a code...please help scanned it and it was P0113...which is inlet air temp. so naturally i bought a new sensor, cleared the code, and it still came back...why, what am i missing? BTW, car is a 99 c5

It should help you troubleshoot this code. Is this the only code you are getting?

Do you have a scanner capable of reading Data or is it just a code reader? I would be looking to see what the air temp showed. -40° indicates an open in the circuit and 300° (or thereabouts) indicates a short to ground. You can use the DVOM as mentioned before to check for resistance in the wires and for a short to ground.
