Default HPTuners and LM-1 not equal

Hi guys. I have my HPT and LM-1 running but can't figure out why the LM-1 is reading from 3-5 points lower than tuners at all times. I have everything hooked up per Checkmates instructions and the Lm-1 is programmed for 0V-10AFR and 5V-20AFR. I checked my connections and they are ok (not soldered, just twisted and taped). Does anyone have theirs working perfectly? Even at idle when the AFR is rock solid on the Lm-1, HPT is 4 points higher.

do you have the ground wire connected?

My LM-1 reads correctly w/the HPT display using the HPT LM-1 PID ....

Why don't you set up a custom PID in HPT's scanner just to make sure they are on the same sheet?

Horist, I do have the ground connected. Sheilded on the LM-1 to pin 5 or the black on the EIO. What about running a ground to the chassis with these two?
SS, I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Any tips for a newb?
Thanks guys.

Damn, I wish I had my HPTuners in front of me...

As I recall, go to the bottom of the scanner table, and right click. Go to "insert". When that comes up, you'll see the typical list for that section of the table. I think it is under wideband, and there will be one in there that says something about setup.

Now, you'll have to do a little math, but I think if you do the equation part, you divide the volts by 0.5 and then add ten. This will give you a linear 0-5V = 10-20 AFR line.

I hope that helps man...sorry I don't have my stuff in front of me.

Oh, and you'll know where to put the equation stuff in when you get to that part. There are only two boxes to fill in.

Please do...I got it to work after poking around for about 5 minutes, so I'm sure you'll find it.

Mine always reads exactly the same. Are you sure you have the right analog out from the lm-1 programmed, and that the right wire is hooked up? I just made analog 1 and analog 2 the same so i didn't have to worry about which wire to solder to the hptuners pigtail.

I must have missed something when i hooked mine up. I didn't have to input any numbers anywhere. wasn't even an option. I'm confused about this 0V 5V stuff i keep reading about. Is this only for LM1 and not LC1?

Yeah it's for the lm-1. You have to configure the output by hooking the lm-1 box up to your computer and programming it.

Well I tried making my own PID for the LM-1 (divide by .5 and +10) and HPT is still reading approx 3 points higher than the LM-1. It seems when you first start the car and the AFR is high (19-20AFR) it looks to be right on. When the AFR drops to 13 it's off. I have programmed both analog outputs in the LM-1 identically (0V and 10AFR 5V and 20AFR) so it shouldn't matter which one I'm using. Looks like I'm running out of options here guys. It would suck to have to remember to subtract three points from everything while tuning because this thing won't work correctly. Thanks for your input.

I guess you could hook up a volt meter to the lm1 output and see if it's reading right. At least that'll tell you where the problem is.

Hi Folks
I know the LM-1 AFR can be checked outside the car - it should read I think 20:1. I don't if HP tuner can do the same thing but if it can, I would check them to see what they read outside the exhaust system - the 02 sensor in normal air. Maybe you need to recalibrate them.
