Just for comparison sake, here is a few screen shots of EFI Live. Everything that you see is available now in the current release.

For even more comparison, here is a screenshot of the most powerful scan tool layout you can have.

This is the layout that most tunershops will be found using.

Note that the scanner does not lock you to 1 specific view. You can view your table display, histogram display, chart display, gauge, vcm controls, etc. etc.. all at the same time.

Also note that the histogram window has 8 fully customizable histograms that can be changed on the fly.

Another plus for the most powerful scan tool (EFILive) are custom os's which are free for the life of the program. This includes 1-2-3 bar speed density and a boat load of other helpful LS1 tuning modifications. Did I mention they are free for the life of the software

Here are comaprison shots of the above using VCM Suite 2.0

Note that the tool bar for your table modification is on the table display itself. We do not throw all of our tool bars at the very top of the application which confuses the end user. Also note all the options our table display has via the tool bar. It is all customizable on the fly, including changing of units and precision. There is no need to close your vehicles tune file.

Note how much cleaner this looks than the other image. You can change the font size of the histogram as well. The histogram will not wrap to your entire screen unless you select the largest font size. Also note that again, the histogram window is not the only window you can have open in the scanner. We do not force you to look at only one thing at a time. It's completely up to you to determine how many things you want open at a time in the scanner. We give you that option. It's a very important option to have.

Regardless of which product does what, here are some things to consider before making a purchase.

1. Demoing the product youself.
2. Recommendations from a trusted source.
3. Documented uses of the product.
4. The quality/knowledge of the resellers/distributors (not what the manufacture claims)

While you may feel you have point, who wants to look at 50 million screens cluttered and jumbled on a 1024*768 laptop monitor all while driving down the road at 60-70 mph...

The word cleaner is purely subjective. We have the ability to change font sizes as well. BTW want to compare help file documentation. The editor alone in Live offers way more info about the tables than your whole HTML file...

I will address both of your points.

1) I also agree that 50 million screens is too much. So lets just talk about 2. 2 is more than 1 and a lot less than 50 million. If you like 1 screen, then chances are at some point in your scanning adventure you may want just 1 measly screen more. Our product supports it, does yours?

2) We use the same help file methods that Microsoft and other very large companies use. They are called compiled help manuals. The day where a pdf was considered a "help file" is long gone.

this has gone off topic far enough now and is starting to slide the same way other threads have gone (many of the same individuals involved as well) ... the original question was answered...
