LS1Edit cables - UBS Vs. serial ports
I've been using an old computer to run LS1Edit for a few years now My PCM/PC cable that came with the software is a serial 9 pin connection to the PC.
I am getting an new PC in a few days and I beleive all the new machine have only UBS ports and no serial ports.
Is it possible to use my old LS1Edit cable with newer machines?

Yes. I suppose you forgot to search this topic, huh?
Its called a serial to USB adapter. There are one or two that supposedly work much better than the others, search should yield that info.
