New laptop and HPT

New laptop and HPT OK so I went out tonight and got myself a new laptop so I can get the car running and crap like that. Get home to find out that the HPT cable doesn't fit into the new laptop. 
So is there a adaptor that I can get to make this work?

Does the new laptop have only USB ports and no serial ports. The HPT cable is still serial cable, but they will be releasing USB when ever 2.0 comes out, if ever....HPT WHAT GIVES????
Yeah you should be able to find a USB to serial adapter somewhere. Can you exchange the laptop for one that works with the HPT stuff?

frcefed98 I looked and the ones in my price range and they didn't have it just the USB ports. I think none of them had it really.
