SES light knock sensor?
i got a ses light coming home last night from work, so this morning i went up to get it read and it said it was the knock sensor and the guy asked me if i messed wiht the timing or anything and i said no, but i told him i tryed to take my muffler off about a week ago if that had anything to do wiht it, he also said i could of got bad gas, but i did put some rxp gas addivtive in last fill up but i dont really knw if that has anything to do with it, he turned off the light and said that its no problem so i wanted to see what you guys thought? is it no problem at all? the car stills runs the same as it always has

I have a 00 z28 and had problems with my knock sensors when the car was still under warrenty. The gm dealer said they had alot of problems with these sensors and when they did the work they said that gm went to a differant manufacture for the replacement sensors. If the light comes on again find out which one it is (there's two) and replace it. Might want to throw on a ls6 intake manifold while your at it.

Try putting in a tank of good gas..i.e. Chevron or Shell and run the whole tank and see if it comes on again. It could be bad gas or the fuel additive you put in.
What additive did you put in?
I use seafoam, liquid version.

ya i wash my car pretty often
actually i washed it that day it turned on, i filled up with a full tank of gas and the light is still on so do you think its not the gas? where exactly are the sensors at? how hard are they to fix

Now if you are actually getting engine knock and that light is comming on because of it (usually doesn't stay on from this) then you have other fuel system related issues you need to address.
But I'll bet that you just have a bad knock sensor that is telling the computer that it needs to be replaced. If so, do as JustAnIlluzion suggests... And if you don't aleady have an LS6 (or the like) manifold on there, it would be a great time to swap as well, since the two knock sensors are under there.

I had to replace mine a while back. Same situation your having. My suggestion is while your there, you might as well replace both knock sensors. It'll save you some time down the road.
Oh yeah, and add an LS6 intake. I forgot (couldn't afford) to do that with mine.
