Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

if you where just reading it, it shouldnt give you a problem..
try what predator said, if that doesnt work, upload a new file and then it should work

Does it connect to edit at all? If not, you have joined the club of fried PCM's. That is why I don't trust LS1 Edit. If this is the case, PM wait4me and he will hook you up on a new PCM at little or no charge.

I don't see how a read process can harm the PCM unless he somehow spiked the class-2 serial bus. I read a warning on Carputing's website a while back about some AC/DC converters being at risk of this.

I'm now over 30 cycles of reading/writing my PCM with LS1-Edit and no "frying", also work with two shops that use LS1-Edit extensively and have had zero probs with F or Y-bodies. That is why I assume these problems are user error.

I had the car not want to start after my GF took the Key's out of the ignition while I was doing a read, the car would not start after that then I uploaded a new program into the car and then the car would now start after that, but the very next time I tried to use edit, I was not able would not read or write to the PCM any longer. two PCM's and one F@#!ed up cable useing LS1 edit, and F@#!ed up costomer service, your better off getting another tuning tool like Flashscan or HP tuners, I feel LS1edit just plain S#cks. BTW I love my Flashscan with Black box logging. JMO.

How did you end up resolving the problem?
