ok I just want to make sure I am understanding this 100% correctly so I don't screw up my PCM.

I have a 2000. I downloaded a stock 2001 .bin file. I then made all neccessary changes for my car to that file. When i went to write it gave me an error saying that the OS ID's did not match.

If I do rewrite entire vcm do I just use that 2001 .bin file? Basically what I am asking is does that .bin file contain the OS as well? Or do I have to get a 2001 OS somewhere to rewrite the vcm and then write the 2001 .bin file?

You have to have support for the file you are attempting to write. In your case, you need to have license's for 00 and 01.

i do have support for both 00 and 01's....and it worked. However I am very lean now at lower map/rpm values (top left corner of histogram).

I changed the IFR table to what my 00 had because of the difference in injector size. Does anyone know of any other fueling changes between these two years?

The injector size is the only fueling difference that I am aware of.

What difference is there b/w 01 and 02, big ones I mean, of concern to me? I see Phil and others are swapping to 01's, is it just because you had the cable, or does the 01 have fewer odditites than the 02 or something?

the maf table is diffrent and that may cause a lean condition if you did not change it.
