Fatal PCM Damage?
They were 2 different programs and I am worried that the damage is irreversible. Is there any way to get my HP back from a tune? Or is it possible to put in a whole new PCM and start over?
what the other changed. Or, that something has
drifted (learned) and needs time to get back. It's
unlikely that you could damage the PCM in a way
that loses power, but it still functions "properly".
You probably want to have some logging done and
see if there are any signs that point to bent fueling,
misfires, use of low octane timing table, etc. A lot
of fuel and spark learning is possible and a super
aggressive tune might have pushed you deep into
the weeds, after which your original tune might be
all punked out (through no fault of its own).
