VATS, BCM or Unknown????

VATS, BCM or Unknown???? Reference this thread:

Basically a 2002 35th SS LE, suddenly decided it didnt want to start up anymore, crank but no run. It would start after the 4, 5, or 6th try, randomly, sometimes after opening the hood. Then one day it stopped altogether. I went over, read and flashed the tune back into it. Started no prob. Shut off, no start. Reflash, start. So, went ahead and deleted the VATS, it was set to PWM, so I set it to None. Started, shutoff started and has been fine for a few days, and over 30 starts. Now, it suddenly didnt want to start again. Tried a few more cranks and it then fired up. What the hell could be wrong.
This car has NO MODS, not even stereo or anything (total abuse I know).
Idea's left:
Rewrite entire PCM.
Force BCM relink, not even sure what the hell this would do, so not messing with it.
Send him to the dealer, which they already said they have no clue, never heard of it doing this unless the security light was flashing, which his doesnt not flash, or even come on.
