Default Just got HP Tuners today.

I just recieved my HP tuners and I did the CAGS removal, turned the fans down, installed my 160 degree thermostat and put on my FTRA intake.
I'm trying to figure out how to reverse the ASR. Right now it is on when I turn the car on and I have to turn it off by hand. Is there a way with HP tuners to turn it off when I start the car then turn it on by hand if it rains?
Also I noticed there was an EGR on off button. I dont have EGR because of the 01ness of my SS. But when I remove the AIR system how do I turn off the SES light when it comes?

Thank you,
Nate

I hope your brain is hungry...and as far as I know, the ASR functionality can't be changed with HPTuners...

the PCM doesnt control ASR.... the ABS computer does.
HPtuners only modifies the PCM, so unfortunately, it cant turn off ASR.

as far as the AIR stuff goes, you'll find that when you 'disable' stuff, you have to goto the Edit->Engine Diagnostics->DTCs window alot.

pick the DTC you want to modify, then select 0-3.. and SES on or off... just be careful.. somethings have effects on other things if you turn them completely off..

Someone really needs to figure out how to dig into those controls...I'd love to have my ASR turn off under 100% throttle conditions...

the computer controlling ASR has no idea what the TPS sensor is. they arnt even connected.

edit:

best thing you could do is have a check in the PCM that made it not pull timing when its told to, if the TPS is over 98%.....

athough that could be a bad idea.. lol

HPT is a set price.. 499 plus shipping .... 150 if you want EIO (if you plan on getting a wideband in the future then I'd suggest getting this)

You cant turn ASR/TCS off with HPTuners...
but you can modify the Spark retard that the ASR/TCS module commands
In Hptuners
Engine-General-Torque MAnagement

Retard vs RPM
Agressive Retard vs RPM

Just set al values to 0....
then its just a gas pedal slip control...
I loged both with Stock #'s and with all 0's
and I saw track times Improve... I was able to use the ASR as my Ooops I put the foot down to far control...
I had better tmes then when I tried to feather it out
Just dump the clutch and go...it takes care of the tire spin for you

I'm buying SLP's switch. I've been caught in the rain once and was glad I had it.

^^^ or you can do what I do... pull your ABS fuse it's off every time then (of course you don't have ABS either and you have TCS off, Brake! , Service Vehicle lights on heh

My method still allows it to control slipping...it just makes it so it doesnt retard the timing and cause the car to bog down and fight your driving...

I have a buddy of mine trying at the track tonight.... he's been fighting too much foot syndrome on his 2000 A4.... we'll see if it helps him and I'm sure it will
