Calling all Mustang owners
The Tweecer is suppose to be a real good one for Mustangs. A lot of guys at the tracks I have visited have this one. It's been around for quite some time.
Unlike the GM world, the ford world, the handheld tuners CAN be good, the SCT tuners can be custom programmed using the Advantage software, sold to dealers and end users as the Pro Racers Package, unlike being stuck with the canned tunes that the GM world has on their handhelds.
The SCT datalogging handheld called the Xcalibrator2 retails for approx $46x price and the pro Racers Software retails for $299.

I don't know what you mean by the computers sucking, unless it is just a general lack of understanding of the factory control system works. Making 700+ rwhp on the stock 2003-4 cobra computer is not a problem at all, all you need is the injectors, and maf to handle it. Installing a stand alone in a 1999 or newer mustangs, requires everything from installing a full return style fuel system, as I don't know of a plug and play solution for that and an aftermarket stand alone. Since the 99+ mustang uses a serial data bus for the cluster, you would need a custom cluster as well. For any streetable 2003-4 cobra, there is 0% chance that I woudl pull the factory EEC for anything else. Even a racecar only application, I would still use the factory EEC, but may go to a conventional return style fuel system over 700rwhp.

They've been talking about it for a Long Long time, with nothing available yet.

On a 87-95 5.0 Mustang the Tweecer is one of the best tuners IMHO. Once you get into the ODBII cars the tuning starts getting more complicated.
Used tweecers can be picked up for about $450 usually. There is a steap learning curve. SCT is a little more expensive but more dyno shops are doing custom tuning with it if you don't want to bother learning it. The SCT is also harder to move from car to car if you decide to sell it since it's locked in to your VIN and computer code.
