02 Vette engine with 02 SS ECM?
Well i'm putting a LS1 in my 91 Camaro, and i got the engine from an 02 vette. When i got it the guy had already gotten rid of the ECU, but kept the harness with the engine. So i had the wiring harness but no computer. In need of a computer i figured that an 02 Camaro ECU should work. Am i correct??
Also the computer i got is from an Auto car and i'm going to be going with the t56. Will this be a problem? I plan on getting HPTuners so i will be able to make any of the changes myself. This way i can also remove vats and delete the rear 02 sensors, plus getting the extra power from the car will be a big plus
When i get HPtuners will i purchase a license for an 02 Camaro since that is what the computer is from? This makes most sense to me, but I just want to be positive before putting the money out.
Thanks in advance.

Well it sounds to me like HPT might not be your best bet. You would have to purchase it with license's for a 02 Vette and whatever OS you want to use. I assume you aren't using the ETC as the vette had? I would almost look into EFI Live as you have more options on the PCM aspect. JMO

I was actually planning on using the drive by wire setup. I have the TB, the pedal, and the computer for it, so i'm hoping it should be fine. Or will this be a problem with the f-body pcm.
ETC stands for?

ETC = electronic throttle control (aka fly-by-wire)
If you want to use ETC, then you need to have the computer flashed with a Corvette program. A dealership (or even some people around here) will be able to do that for you.

HPTuners comes with two vehicle licenses when you purchase it, just get the license for a 2002 V8 F-Body and a 2002 Corvette. You will be able to reflash your Camaro PCM with a 2002 Corvette BIN, you can also select to flash a manual BIN file to convert it from an auto to manual. You get to keep your ETC controls as well.

I kinda figured since i have a computer, i could take it to a dealership and get it reflashed to what ever year/car i wanted, but again wasn't positive. I did a quick search through the boards but no luck.
So i get HPTUners. I flash my pcm to a 2002 Manual Corvette BIN. This is exactly what i was hoping for.
Thanks to everyone that responded!!
