Default When to power WB o2

i am just about to install my wideband controller in the car, its going to be a perminat install, i was just woundering where to connect the power to the WC conntroller.

Does the sensor need to be fully upto temp before car is started or is it ok for sensor to still be heating when the car is turned on for the first few seconds??

thanks guys

Any good switched power source will work. The sensor can be warming up after the car is started. As long as you don't run the car without the sensor powered up, you will be OK.

i turn mine on a about 5 seconds after starting the car... I believe Innovate suggests this as well... otherwise if it's on before you start the car, built up condensation can shorten the life of the sensor

i wired it into the power windows line as it powers up when i uplock the car and switches off approx 30sec after i turn off the car, i can also listen to radio without it being on.

I did it this way cause i thought that sensor had to be upto temp before car is started, do you think i should change it so something like ignition line??

Thanks
Ronny

This Is what I did,https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/368554-bad-idea-weld-o2-bung-front-my-existing-one.html You can plug the LC-1 into the pre cat input and use the WB as part as the Closed loop system or plug the WB into the post cat O2 input and use the #1 out put as a O2 sim, BTW I could not mimic the true NB output with the simulated NB output of the LC-1 so I welded in an extra O2 bung and left my LC-1 plugged into the post cat O2 input plug, I don’t know what type of WB you've got but I think you can do something similar with the 12V input power requirements for your WB controller. PS, I wired my LC-1 into the plug/connectors off of an extra LT O2 extention wire, that way I can always unplug my LC-1 and use it on another car if I want to.
