Default Tuning O2 sensor

2003 ZO6 with head and cam package. Just replaced my SLP headers with LG headers. The LG's were not Jet coated nor wrapped. Raced at Sebring. At the race the car started missing at part throttle but was fine at wide open throttle. The headers had melted part of the insulation on the left bank O2 sensor putting that left side into closed loop. The left bank plugs were all fouled. The O2 sensor was replaced as were the plugs. The headers were all heat wrapped to prevent the problem for occuring again....however, even with a brand new O2 sensor the left bank remains in closed loop under part throttle. Has anyone ever had this problem before. The right bank runs normally. All the wiring has been rechecked and is fine. Would greatly appreciate any advice.

Also we switched 02's from 1 side to the other and had the same exact problem on the same side. That makes me feel it isn't a 02 problem. New plugs, new 02, no vaccuum leaks, no exhaust leaks????????????????

Have you tried rewriting the tune? I know it sound wierd, but had an issue with trims once and after replacing the O2 (also melted wiring) nothing else worked. Flashed the same tune into it and stopped the issues. Other than that, it could have caused some kind of PCM error or something from the signal grounding out, etc.

Will try it tonight.
I hope it is a easy fix like reflashing the tune.
