What kind of programming software?? Hi,
I am going to be putting MegaSquirt in my car, and am going to need something to tune the stock computer to control spark and such.
so is HPTuners better than Edit?
which one would everyone pick?

Both HP Tuners and EFILive are the only tuning software choices to be considered this point in time. They both have there good and bad. LS1 Edit was the market leader and they have fallen form the top by not keeping up with the times. I had LS1 Edit and it is primative compared to HPT or EFILive.

i have and like efilive but check out hptuners tooo. both packages are the *only* choices today. me old ls1edit was a great tool before these softwares came along. now lock this thread b4 it gets uggleh..

as mentioned... LS1 Edit really isn't even an option anymore... Both EFI Live and HP Tuners have passed LS1 Edit 100 fold in a very short time....
I've used HPT since April 2004 and Love it... use it on my GTP (but I think it's broken... still haven't been able to tune it so it beats LS1s!!!!
) and on my F-Body and many of my friends F-Bodies....
Regardless though... "just say fugedit to ls1 edit" ... it was great when it was the only solution... but now it's been left in the dust....

I'm in Bowling Green Kentucky this weekend for the F-Body Celbration... so only on the net late at night.... if this thread turns to dog doodoo... there will be time outs given (see the sticky regarding tuning software)***
