Default ac idle tuning...

Regular idle, STIT/LTIT A/C Off is right at 0 to -.08 or so. I turn on AC and ac offset or whatever it's called shows 1.67 or so. How do I adjust the ac at idle to be more in line with what it should be? What table do I modify, like with ac off I modify raf. Thank you.

More than likely, your IAC Effective Area is not set correctly with the AC on. You want your dynamic air and your desired idle air to match even with the AC engaged. If that looks good, then look to increase the learning limits to +3 g/sec and -1 g/sec. If that still doesn't do the trick, trying increasing your fan speed corrections and if all else fails, look at increasing AC torque (in the torque management section of HPT).

how do I know how much to increase AC Torque? Also right now my AC offset min in gear is 0.00 and AC offset max in gear is .50 is that not right?

Also I have all tq management disabled. Does that matter?

You'll probably have more luck by adding +3 to the upper end of the idle learning and -1 for the lower end of idle learning. For now, I would leave AC torque alone until you can try the easy things first.

how about monitoring the 'calculated torque'? i watched it once, and it would go up when i turn on the AC. subtract ON-OFF values and you should know how much torque gets eaten up by AC, at least according to the pcm.

I'm a noob, where do I find idle learning? What is that exactly called? Also, is calculated torque a PID? Where is it located? I'll check for it in morning.

Go To->
Engine-> Idle Airflow-> Adaptive Idle Airflow Limits-> AC Offset Min - In Gear,
AC Offset Max - In Gear

There are two PIDS;
Delivered Engine Torque
Desired Engine Torque

changing the adaptive idle airflow limits have seemed to helped a lot. Why did I have to change those? Anyone willing to look at a scan of mine and tell me how they think my tune is?
