Think about it... no cats, but the computer says o.k.... wouldn't you think something's up?

My advise, get some cats, real ones, into the exhaust, and get the rear o2's up and working and then go back thru.. before they tell you that the car has to go on the rollers.

I have two cats sitting right behind me, i was planning on putting them in the y-pipe, but do you think its necesarry to put the 02 sensors back in? Will they look for that? If i just plug the o2 sensors in and not change the code back from no error reported is that going to hurt anything? I can't see how it would.

I'd put them in, just incase they scan the car to see what's there and what's not. You can turn them off so they aren't doing anything as far as the tune goes, but if they are in the pipe, the computer will still see that they are there, and will see the readings, just won't care what the readings are.

P.M. Chef, he has more info about this stuff.. his car failed and he had to do stuff to get it to go thru.

Sorry dont know Danbury area. However, I dont know where all this scan your computer stuff came from? All they do is check the readyness codes. They dont compare files, they dont have advanced diagnostic details of any particular PCM. Its a very simple system, look for cats, check for codes, test gas cap, done. Next $20.

I dont know how or who screwed chef either, My buddy actually WANTED the roller test on a car he swapped the engine out of, he went from an OBDII vehicle to a carbed system. They wouldnt do it and he just registered the car somewhere else lol.
