Read before you get your LS2 tuned

If they had a handheld tuner, this would be acceptable imho, as the customer could easily reflash to stock.
But without having a hardware device per vehicle, this is a very poor move imho, as it could be potentially bad if you needed a reflash, or just wanted to go back to stock after a bad tune, or combination changed.

The tuner has no on/off option for this lock. It's embedded in the software. The only option the original tuner has is to reload your stock program using the original LS2edit software that tuned your PCM. Any other LS2edit cannot reload your PCM. If the tuner's hard drive crashes, it's buy a new PCM time.

Just one more reason for me to stay away from carputing.

From a monopolistic viewpoint "Carputing's Lock" made sense.......3 years ago...i.e. before EFILive and HP Tuners. From what I understand the New LS2/7 PCMs are considerably different from the LS1/LS6....so I guess the learning curve is there...before the tuning masses get it figured out.
Once the guys around here devour ( quickly ) the new PCM "Carputings Lock" will become a huge negative for all Tuners.
Desperate measure by a desperate company?? Ken Kelly blew it.

Personally i think not giving tuners the option is the sour point here. I think it's really there to try and protect Carputing from others rather than the tuners themselves. Maybe we should lock the TCM's and our scanner so they can't figure it out?
Also, the LS7 ECM is an entirely different beast to the LS2 ECM
