SLP 85mm MAF: Remove resistor???

Default SLP 85mm MAF: Remove resistor???

I added a SLP 85mm MAF and a carbon fiber air bridge to my 99 C5. The 85mm MAF fits better then the stock one in this configuration. I have EFI Live flashscan and I put the MAF table for a Z06 into my tune and the car wouldn't idle/run at all.

I saw that the SLP has a resistor soldered on it. Is this to try and make it's flow more closely match the stock MAF to the computer? I did a couple logs before and after the SLP and the ltft's are reasonably close using the stock MAF table.

Should I remove the resistor and then use the stock Z06 MAF table? I don't really want to go through all the trouble of calibrating the SLP MAF. Doesn't someone have a calibrated table available for the generally used aftermarket MAF's? I mean lots of people say to leave the stock MAF in and don't ever change it because the MAF table is right. Can't anyone just use a MAF table for the SLP MAF, or Z06 maf or truck maf or whatever?

Yes, the base MAF is a truck MAF and either the Z06
table or the truck tables will do, if the resistor is gone.
The 6.0 truck table is slightly richer in effect and I prefer
it (especially the one that properly populates the low end).

I know I've posted it, as well as links to an Excel sheet
with multiple tables, here before.

Yeah, I clipped the resistor off and just loaded up the z06 maf table on my f-body. Worked great.
