I am glad to see you guys increased the numbers of A/D inputs. I was actually just going to ask about this until I saw this post. I have an immediate need to hook up a dual wideband but don't want to limit myself in the future. Great work.
Out of curiosity, what are some examples of 12 volt sensors that one might hook up?

Should i wait for the V2 or get the V1.2 and upgrade later. I mean if i get the commerical 1.2 FlashScan would the upgrade be just the difference in price between the two? So if V1.2 is $849 and the other one lets say $1049 that means i just upgrade for $200 only?

You can use the 12V inputs to capture/log any voltage level in the vehicle up to 12 volts. (Actually I think they go up to 18 volts since some voltages in the vehicle are >12V.) What we had in mind when adding those inputs, was using FlashScan V2 as a digital multimeter and possible even as an digital oscilliscope. The A/D converters can process signals up to 1 MHz. I am not an electronic engineer so I won't go into any details or I'll end up saying something stupid. (I probably already have).
The upgrade price will be fair and reasonable, but since we have not even started to discuss what it will be, it would be premature of me to speculate right now.
