Do I have to live with this? Even after the tune my car still searches for idle when I come to a stop. When in reverse ( M6 ) it wants to stall. I also have some surging at low rpm when driving. Is this normal? The tune was done after a cam/header install btw.

Absolutely not. My cam is not huge but it returns to idle just like it did with the stock cam.

I had those issues (except for reverse) until I was able to pick up EFILive and fine tune the programming. SmokingWS6 is right. You can get just about any cam back to "normal" drivability.
