injector flow rate calculations ?
injector flow rate calculations ? someone posted a while back about not using stock IFR rate table to modify IFR, why is this ? I'm multiplyin my stock IFR table by 1.25 to adjust for SVO 30 lb injectors, is this not right ? Thanx
I can't remember offhand the reason for not using a straight multiplier for new injectors. I used RedHardSupra's blogspot to dial my injectors in.

he has a fuel rate chart listed for SVO 30 lb injectors on that website, but it's for injectors rated at 43.5 lb of pressure...I called SVO 3 times in one week to ask them about the rated pressure for their injectors ( I called so many times to see if I got the same answer each time), every time I called I got a different person and they all said 40lbs, if they're lyin at least they're consistant
then use the spreadsheet to use it with 40psi as their rated pressure, no big deal there. all i know that i had my stockers in, ve tuned in pretty much perfect, swapped injectors, put in new IFR based on the 43.5psi rating numbers, and the trims didn't change at all, car ran perfect right away, the only thing that changed was the duty cycle.
i tried to copy/paste the results but HPTuners keeps adding numbers to the tables...I even tried inputing the numbers manually but it adds like .02-.04 to each cell....WTF ?!?!?

I found that too - no matter what values you put in, it changes right before your eyes. I asked RedHardSupra about it with no response but WS6FireBird00 was able to do it too.

Verdad Gallardo sorry, i've been awefully busy lately. my guess would be that i probably used 58.02psi for my 4bar conversion, as that's what it is precisely speaking. that would be the source of the minute differences. use the spreadsheet, try it, maybe that will explain a thing or two.
when you paste in the tune right? i just think that you have to be in a certain number range. i know that some settings i go to chagne if i put it at 1.99 it may save it as 2.01 or 1.96. its kinda weird but maybe it has a scale it has to follow and just goes to the closest value? still havent been able to figure that one out
