Dealer lock my PCM :( I have some problem 
when i get my pcm from the dealer I think they lock it because i tried to tune it by ls1-edit and it's not working so how can i fix it ?

LS1-Edit has very restrictive licensing, only the
original PCM you licensed will play. Replacements
won't, until you pay again. This is why I refused
to consider that product.

as stated LS1 Edit isn't VIN locked... it's PCM locked... there's some sort of unique identifier for each PCM (like a PCM serial number) ... this serial number is what the software locks to... so if you replace the PCM... even if it has your VIN, it won't work unless you pay them
HP Tuners is still offering a trade-in deal I believe... may want to contact sales @ hptuners.com (no spaces) to inquire

How AND Where, can i read & understand about my PMC? i have a 1998 z-28 LS1 auto tranny. had it 3 mo. WITH MOD's JUST HAVE NOT INSTALLED THEM YET ! "waiting" on BBK to make my ssi intake & throttle body KIT ?? they been selling stuff to SUMMIT which is not made YET! ordered on first of sept. put off till 12-4-05 damn long time to wait to build my Z. BUT on your's Sorry to hear that, HOPE my is'nt lock also.i got a 'JET plug-inpower control modules' from summit$249.00 stage 2. DOES anyone know this mod?? good luck with your pmc
