Default switch from LS1Edit to EFI live

I have checked the "search" function and have not found the answer. I have had my car tuned with LS1Edit, and I own the cable/software for my car. My question is if I want to switch to EFI Live, are there any issues? For example, my original tune was by EdWright, and when we made the first flash with my then-new LS1Edit, the PCM smoked. Is this an issue with EFI Live after LS1 Edit. Thanks for your patience with this likely already asked question!

No it isnt and you also get a credit towards your EFI purchase when you trade in your edit cable

man, I pulled my tune with live for a backup and never looked back. as long as your tune isn't locked then all should be good. live is much safer software when flashing so dont worry about burning the PCM up...

Seeing how this is a EFI Live thread, I think you are going in the right direction. You will love Live and will be happy you purchased it.

No one is saying EFILive is better than HPT or vice versa. Both packages are better than Edit now which one you choose is totally up to you and your needs. I went with EFILive for many reasons. Reasons, a quick search or a skim of the stickies will uncover

I like live but of course that is because it is what i tune with. once I get the next phase of major mechanical mods completed I will probably buy HPT just to have it to compare with. reality is they both work so do some homework

Yes both are better than EDIT. I upgraded to HPTuners, but use EFILive for my scanner.

Talking

I went from LS1Edit to EFILive FlashScan with no problems. It takes about 30 seconds to flash the PCM. Edit took 2-3 minutes.
Go to http://www.efilive.com/

I don't see anything about being able to trade in ls1 edit, I thought that ended in September.

Live is your ticket!!! More and more are purchasing EFILive or switching over from another package because of the way it is designed and the customer service. It may be a little more, but it is WELL worth the price.

I can't find it either.
How much $ are they allowing for the trade in?

From their website. I don't know if there is/was a time constraint though. I would assume the guys will chime in when they get back from SEMA.

I tried emailing their sales dept. about the trade-in program, still haven't heard back from them yet. If I don't hear back from them in a day or 2, guess I'll be ordering HPTuners and paying extra for the 2bar option later on.
