Default How to re-enable my TCS

Hello all...

I was wondering if anyone here knew how the TCS works. I had my car at a local shop awhile back and had the company disable my TCS so when I was using my n2o it would not be a factor. When ever I start my car up and touch the gas pedal my TCS immedately turns off and my TCS light comes on. This really is not a big deal other than I am tired of looking at the light. So I was wondering how I would go about re-enabling my TCS. I thought this would be done by the pcm but after speaking with Jason @ TSP he said that there was no way for him to re-enable it when they were tuning my pcm. Any advice would be great..

Thanks

Jeff

Look and see if they pulled the fuse.

Did they install one of those SLP TCS disable modules which turns the system off each time you start the car? I believe it will be conected to the back of the TCS switch in the dash if they did. Just pop off the radio dash bezel and have a look for a little black box plugged into the TCS switch. Worth the 2 minutes to investigate it.

The harness on the back of my TCS is normal no extra adapter. The strangest thing I will go and start my car up, and the tcs will be on, I can even push the toggle switch to enable and disable, but the minute I touch the gas pedal the tcs light comes on the dash and the light on the toggle goes off, at which point the switch is dead. . That happenes everytime. Anyone??

BTW Thanks for the idea SS LS1

I had a similar issue twice. It was a faulty ground. Check the grounds in the engine bay. I believe there is one on each side of the car right on the wheel well.

either that or it could be a loss of vacuum causing it. How much vacuum do you run?
