Default Help with HPTuner 2.0

Hi, I just started working with HPTuner and have, what I am sure of, is a really easy question.

How the heck do I get my cylinder airmass(g/cyl) on the chart display. Dont I need this info so I know where to remove timing?

Thanks
Bud

Right click inside the chart, then choose Chart Settings. Expand the tree to find an <undefined> slot, click it, then click the text <click to insert or change> beside "Sensor" and choose "Cylinder Airmass".

Bud why do u want to remove timing. 28 deg should give you the most power. The only time you have to remove timing is if you have nock.

28* will give max power on some cars... others it won't (generally the better design the head, the less timing needed to peak power)

Also there's more to timing than just WOT (part throttle timing is often in the 40s)

i have noticed that cars with the 241 heads want less timing then the ones with the earlier heads.

but i think its the combo of heads and cam that make the huge timing diffs between the earlier cars (say, 99s) and later ones (like my 02).. not just the heads alone.

On a third gear pull I see really no timing being pulled but in forth I see up to 3 degress pulled at about 5200 rpms.

Should I see absolutely no timing being pulled?

Thanks
