Default Innovate WB as simulated NB

OK, need some help here. I've finished just about all the tuning, VE, PE, etc. Now I want to re-enable everything and go back to closed loop mode, however I want to do this without removing the WB. So, I was going to just leave it in place and use the simulated NB output to feed the pcm its signal. That way I can check ltft's, and PE AFR without having to go back and forth.

Problem is, I can't get my PCM to read the signal the LM1 is putting out. I've tried it with the NB low connected to the LM1 ground, and with it not connected to anything. Does not make any difference. Reads 450mv all the time, no matter what.

Has anyone else actually done this ? How did you connect yours ? LC1 I am sure is the same way, so how is that done so it works ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm doing it on my car, and it works just fine. Check your wiring, sounds like you may have it connected up wrong. I actually used the factory O2 plug for power and ground as well (heater wires), then the analog ground and output on the remaining two.

You have the analog ground connected to the LM1 ground then, that is my main question ?

450mV is what you get when the O2 sensor is
open-circuit or when the PCM has thrown a code
and given up. You may need to reset O2 sensor
fails.

As far as the LM-1, I think you'll want to get into
the handler utility and do things like turn off or
minimize the smoothing/averaging as well as set
the transfer curve. Too slow will probably muss up
the response to the fuel dithering the PCM does
to get cross-counts, at the least making it swing
over-wide (as the lag from smoothing takes a long
time to show response to fuel bumps).

You may want to have a look at just how far apart
PCM ground and LM-1 output ground are, with the
output cable not plugged in but the WBO2 heater
running. The cig lighter being somewhat remote,
electrically, you might see some substantial voltage
differences from ground current loops if things are
not tight.

I have reset the codes, however they came back due to no swing in the voltages.

The LM1 is set to instant response, which I understand is quite a bit faster than the stock 02's swing.

I checked the voltage from lm1 ground to h02 low, it measure .450 volts. I also checked the voltage from analog 1 out (NB) to the LM1 ground, it measures .73 volts (I have it commanded to output a constant .75 volts for troubleshooting purposes). This is all with the key off, but LM1 heater plugged in and hot.

I've double checked my wiring, analog 1 output is connected purple pcm wire (h02 high) and the wire I have run is to the tan pcm wire (h02 low). PCM heater wires are disconnected.

Again, I deeply appreciate everyone's assistance with helping me find my problem (edit: although we still haven't found it)

I figured it out today talking to a bud of mine. The H02 low wire on the NB is actually connected to the body of the NB, so that it is in effect grounded to the exhaust pipe. Confirmed with my DVM. So now I know all I need to do is ground the NB low and the LM1 Analog ground and I will be golden !

Thanks to all for the responses !
