ASR problem; light on, button does not respond

ASR problem; light on, button does not respond I tried this in Gears and Axles and didn't get much response:
When I first turn on my car the the switch operates normally. After 10 seconds or so the "ASR off" light comes on and the switch does not work to turn the light on or off. I don't seem to be having any ABS difficulty.
This occured just after I changed my oil and tightened three bolts on my water pump. While I was doing this I discovered a hole in the hose from the PCV to the TB. I replaced the PCV and the hose from the PCV to the TB. Now I have the problem with ASR that i described above.
Any ideas?
