no power down low...
no power down low... Say im turning onto a street in 2nd gear (its a m6) and decide i wanna punch it. Shouldnt the car take off? Im not getting that. If im cruising in 4th on the freeway and drop it in 3rd and punch it, usually you would hear it go WOT (vaccum sounding) and then pull like crazy...right?? it doesnt do that either...what could cause this in reference to the tune??
so how do i desensitise my knock sensors? im not saying to make them to where they dont pick up any knock, but to be able to get rid of false knock. Ive noticed timing being pulled in the same areas no matter what he timing. I cant seem to figure out what it is.
Do you have enough timing down low? My f-13 idles with about 30 degrees and shoots up to near 40 just off idle. Stock was about 10 degrees lower and the car was a dog down low. Dont forget you are going to lose a little low end with a cam.
If youre looking at where the timing is being pulled, look at the base spark idle and drive tables. Below a certain TPS% you run off the base spark tables and not the more popular high/low octane tables. Most people simply copy the pertinant cells unless you want to get into some fancier timing schemes.
its usually a very very low tps....should i mess with that then? i dont know exactly what the tps is cause my laptops just took ***** on me. im trying to fix one of them now.
