You plug the adapter harness into the 99+ engine harness, and it will then plug directly into the 98 vehicle harness (under passenger kick panel). All gauges/etc will work.
Fwiw, we also carry a piggyback harness that allows the factory pcm to run fan/fuel pump/reverse lockout functions, and the stock gauges when using any aftermarket engine management such as FAST, BS3, DFI, etc.

more adaptor questions... 1. Can I use all my engine sensors or do any of them need to be replaced?
2. Does it plug in between the 98 engine wiring harness and 99+ PCM?
3. Do I replace the entire engine wiring harness (with 99+ PCM) with it and plug in 98 Vehicle wiring harness?
4. Can you please send link to product, I did not see it under 98 z28 pcm/electrical????

From what I remember they are the same. The knock sensors may be different. I'll check tomorrow.

No. You need a 99+ PCM and a 99+ harness. This plugs between the 99+ engine harness and the 98 vehicle.

The harness is not yet listed on our website. If you would like call and ask for Tom, he can give you pricing info, but I believe it's an inexpensive part.
