OK, why are we deleting tq management?

Re: OK, why are we deleting tq management?
Pulling out the journal... get ready to raise another flag, if you didn't believe the last one Right after headers, FTRA, converter, and shift kit, best of 12.95@110.27 (2.15), TM kicking my *** all day!!
Sent my computer to Ed Wright, and a week later, different track, similar weather, I ran a 12.175@113.92 (1.655). So calculate the diference made by better traction, and tell me just how much was attributed to TM. Do a search of TM on LS1.com & look at the ATAP Harlan did on my car that day, and look at how bad timing was reduced. Every car is effected to a different degree.

wait. .1 in the 60 is roughly
.15 at the top. .5 x .15 = .75, 12.95 - .75 = 12.20. you ran a 12.17. so you got .03 and 3mph (some of that mph HAS to be the weather/different track) with what, $450 worth of programming. Are we also to assume that you did abosolutly NOTHING else to the PCM except remove tq mgmnt? hmmmmm. Now, im not saying that it wont do anything. Just dont see that .4 gain or whatever. its really like adding a shift kit. if you want the car to feel different it will, but will it perform at the track better? who knows, the gains are REALLY had to test back to back. I would think the gain would be the inside of 1 tenth to .15/sec. do I have a way to prove that? nope, but you cant prove the other side either. ITS ALL PREFERENCE! do YOU have the money for programming? GO FOR IT! i dont, my tq mgmnt will stay until LS1 edit for 98 comes out.
Sorry if I got off on a rant. hasnt been the best couple of days.

Nice, my first BS flag! LOL If u knew me personally, u would know I don't BS. I may have stretched the truth a little to save some time. The TRUTH is my car ran a 13.01 at Etwown. 10 days later in damn near same weather, I ran 12.63 at Etown. Like everyone else is saying the car used to fall off big time between shifts. As for me I have NOTHING to gain from promoting the removal of TM from our cars. If the tranny goes, so be it. At least it was fast while it lasted. As for my Hawk I Have EVERY bolt on with 373's and LS6 intake. No I don't people.
But I do like to make my eyes all chinesed when I get home.

Re: OK, why are we deleting tq management?
On the dyno I did a few 1/4 mile passes and the car shifted very well, but at the track there is a long delay between the 2->3 shift (almost a second it seems like). Could this be due to TM?
