What is the normal maf flow rate for h/c cars?

Default What is the normal maf flow rate for h/c cars?

I am trying to see if my car is within the norm for a Head and cam car.. 38lbs is my MAF Flow Rate according to autotap. My car has some issues, but I want to see how off or if I am right on time..

MAF??? whats that? <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> I just had mine removed... map/tps based tune now. I picked up 51 rwhp.

When the car was bog stock, it did things like,,,, after a quick hit in first gear then a stop, it would idle at like 1800 rpm then drop to 400 quickly before regaining the desired idle 850 rpm. (Almost stalled) after heads and cam, it became worse.

Now, its perfect. Start the car 1000 rpm. Tap the throttle, back to 1000 rpm. Air on, etc, etc. This thing is as stable as a rock now. I love it. Feels like a big block with the increase in torque/power.

A few people over here knew I was getting this, so I responded to this thread....

its gonna vary by injector size and MAF type/size

bigger injectors it goes down
