In order to effectively tune your car with LS1 Edit you will need to spend some time on a dyno with widebands and preferably with a Tech 2 or Autotap at the least. If you can't do this yourself or don't have access to a shop that could do it, I would recommend you get a custom PCM done. For your combo - heads/cam/headers/intake many of the tuners have custom PCM's down that are really good, which you may not be able to exceed with LS1 Edit. However if you plan to make changes and want the flexibility of LS1 Edit to continue to tune and make adjustments would be nice. I'm sure if you stick around here long enough you'll figure out enough so that you can use LS1 Edit. Good luck.

Hey Jeremy,

Are you the Jeremy I met in Dallas a month ago? I tuned Devin's car at Speedworks when I was down there.

Bubba,

If you think you can learn a little tuning, there are things you can change in LS1 edit that will make some mild improvements, but if you watch what you're doing it can be a safe road to learning how to tune. We all started somewhere, right. If you want a custom tune, you could do that first and then get LS1 edit later.

I can say personally (I have the 97-00 pkg) that it is a very nice gui interface and relatively bug free. I am a Beta tester as well as several others. We have all found a few bugs, but Ken and Dave really jump in on what we're ask for.

I hope this helps.
