<strong>Ok guys, I have my Helms manual sitting in my lap. I have heard the the Pontiacs had an option for performance mode transmission shift points, a little switch on the consol that changed shift points. Or if nothing else mabe the Vettes? I know there are some pinouts on the PCM that are unsed, are any of these the magical performance mode? LT1 pontiacs had this, and I wanted to know if anybody had found this true for the LS1s also.

This is an educated guess. There are tables in the PCM for different shift parameters. I think you would need to have your PCM flashed for an application that cam with the performance mode switch. This would be important so that there was the actual programming code to allow the use of the tables.
I've played around with the tow settings on a truck, so it should be similar with a T/A performance shift switch. I'd have to compare a some PCM files to see for sure.
no answers to this one....
Has anyone ever found out definitively whether any of
the "Not Used" PCM pins or any of the more mysteriously-
labeled pins on the '99-'02 F-Body PCM are "live" for the
A4 "Performance / Normal" mode toggle?
Since the trucks do have bi-mode trans action it seems
the base PCM should be able to handle the concept.
All of the info I've found says this was only on LT-1
F-Bodies; yet the PCM tables persist and GM doesn't
waste one brain cell without some reason....
Any truckmeisters happen to know the pin on -their- PCM
that runs the tow/haul mode? PCM Conn/Pin number? Electrical
characteristics? Even a schizzy for the wiring?
